Rapunzel was an easy one. I get that the whole thing is about keeping a girl’s innocence intact. But I think it also speaks to someone taking an inner journey instead of an outer one. She spent all of her time alone in a tower….painting, playing with birds…you know meditating. The only thing is…unless you’re a monk on a hilltop…sooner or later you have to deal with the outer and the inner.
Can’t deny parts of yourself. But a lot of us do right? I know it and you do too. Unfortunately, it just results in an exxageration of some other part of yourself to compensate…you know like 25 feet of hair..lol. Ultimately though you have to climb out of the tower…cut your hair and stand in the truth of who you are. Even if it blinds your prince. Especially then. (the prince in Rapunzel was blinded until her tears fell on his eyes.) Well yeah. Everyone around you is blind if you’re not standing in your own personal truth. And that’s the truth and nothing but the truth.
